If you are an Iranian-American woman, you may be familiar with an organization known as the Iranian American Women Foundation. Women of all ages are invited to participate in the activities brought upon by this wonderful organization meant to empower women who have found their way in America. They are most dedicated to realizing the full potential of women and their ability to take control of their lives and dedicate their time to leadership skills. Have you ever wanted to find your way in a network of women who have the same goals and aspirations in mind? In the IAWF, women are making connections in the working world, collaborating, and inspiring one another where it is needed most!
Mariam Khosravani stands as Founder and President of IAWF, understanding the importance of expanding philanthropic efforts on a variety of programs to benefit the communities located in California, New York City, and many other states where the efforts are necessary. Some of the newest programs installed in the organization include the Circle of Visionaries, Circle of Caring, Youth Leadership Conference, and Mentorship program.
Over the years, IAWF has hosted some of the most extraordinary and exciting speaking opportunities through the Women’s Leadership Conference, which serves as a fun and engaging way for women to come together and discuss social matters as well as tell stories that anyone can relate to. In the past, IAWF has held conferences at both New York and San Francisco in 2015. For 2016, the conference was held in San Diego at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter.
Soheila Azizi understands the importance of women’s rights in our nation and believes that the Iranian American Women Foundation does an amazing job of endorsing these rights as well as engaging women across America and showing them their overall worth and place in making a difference an guiding future generations.
